PHY Kernel Libraries

To complement the SoftModem Platform, Cognovo provides RAT specific optimised libraries to support physical layer development. Each of these consists of power and performance optimised C source coded implementations of key signal processing algorithms, covering both low-level functions like FIR, FFT and correlation functions, together with system-level examples, such as equalisation, MIMO decoding  and channel estimation.

Each library provides an example of how to achieve optimal results, together with a reference point for benchmark comparison. Importantly, the library provides a starting point for customers wishing to develop their own production PHY implementation.

LTE PHY Library
The initial library release from Cognovo supports the LTE standard. This library provides a partial PHY implementation; offering optimised implementations of key components such as the LTE equaliser and MIMO front-end, together with channel estimation and decoding functions. The library is supplied as a set of individual kernels which link together to form part of a complete uplink and downlink function.
