COGNOVO - Intelligent Wireless

Cognovo is a new company formed with the vision of changing the cellular and wireless industries through Software Defined Modem (SDM) techniques.

We believe that the time is approaching where the demands on terminals to support more and more modes of wireless operation (eg. LTE, HSPA+, E-GPRS, GSM, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000, WiFi and WiMAX, etc) require the use of reconfigurable architectures.

At the same time the development of semiconductor technologies, and particularly processor architectures, has reached the point where it is possible to create user terminals built on SDR techniques that are competitive in both cost and power consumption.

Cognovo has created a software architecture which complements the capability of the latest generation of flexible baseband processing engines and is assembling a full system reference design. The complete SDM platform, comprising chip-level hardware, software framework and toolset, is available for license.
